Sample? Maybe it’s a Kodi issue as no correct resolution can be found?
Hopefully, the sample is large enough. It seems to happen randomly.
Wondering if someone else is using their DV enabled AM6b+ on a Sony X900F or similar TV from yesteryears. I am getting a green tint on any DV movie I play.
The same player runs DV without issue on my HiSense PX2 Pro projector. So I think the CoreElect settings and installation are fine. The dovi.ko file is where it should be.
I have run DV on a 4K disc before when I had a Sony Player, also I can run DV on AppleTV no issue.
Does the Sony X900F support tv-led DV?
Did you try enabling player-led DV in the CE options?
Here is a sample at 24fps.
no, Sony start from x9000h
Iirc just about every Sony TV up until maybe a few (perhaps 2021?) years ago, which claim Dolby Vision support, actually only support player led DV (aka LLDV).
Unless your Sony TV is rather recent, I’d almost go so far as to say you should expect to have to set DV to player led in CoreELEC.
I’ve been away for a while, but wanted to check back in and see whether there have been any improvements with CEC support?
That is most probably the case with X900F. I have one and LLDV is what the player debug output shows even if I try to use TV Led.
@speedy seen you on the Infuse forums. Is Infuse DV P8 native like the Ugoos Am6b+?
Infuse have never stated how they accomplish getting DV P8 so just wondering whether Infuse DV P8 is the same as Ugoos Am6b+ and if it’s real DV P8 and not fake.
Infuse is real TV-led CMv4 P8. It accomplishes this with Apple’s supported SDK. We should continue this discussion on the Infuse forums though if you have any more questions about Infuse.
Needed to transfer my box to another tv and now the DV looks all green and pink. How to I change the setting back from tv-led DV to player-led DV? It’s not under System/CoreELEC
Player settings.
It’s not there either. I’m on expert settings too. The only HDR related options I have are “Use display HDR capabilities” which is set to on, and “Convert Dolby Vision for compatibility” which is set to lossless.
Seconded. CEC is brutal on my LG C2-Ugoos configuration. I have to reset the box almost daily. I know it isn’t CoreELEC issue but it would be great if there was a way to improve it.
That just sucks given how excellent the panels in the Sony are
Player led works and I am using it.
It should be under System → CoreELEC, not Player Setttings like @PurplePlayer said.
Is the other TV even DV capable? Did you configure the TV’s HDMI port correctly? Like setting it to Ultra or Enhanced or something like that?
Also, what does it say under System Information → Video regarding HDR capabilities?
Whoops! meant to edit my post but got distracted.
@kcaudiovideo I think Sony actually switched and their recent DV capable TVs can handle both,? My X85J definitely can.
It says that it supports Dolby Vision in system info.
But under Settings/System/CoreELEC, the only options I have are
Disable noise reduction (set to ON)
Tone map SDR to HDR (set to OFF)
Tone map HDR to SDR (set to OFF)
Disable Dolby Vision support (set to OFF)
And then the reset above settings to default option.
I’m running
20.5-Nexus_nightly_20240413 with auto updates on.
