yeah, I just flash the most updated nightly build today and update it to CPM’s updated 6 tar.
Now no DV can work
There were 2 updates on 13th. With first I had same problem like you, but sorted it out before updating the second (which is last available 20240613134127) update.

Just for my clarification - when you say - “When testing use the below tar to update a fresh install of CE-21 ng” - by “fresh install” do you mean install “any” official version and do not change any settings before applying your update - or - install “the latest” official version available before applying your update - or - something else?

No, this is the latest version; the version I had the problem is one before this, but it’s taken down.
IIRC there was only several hours between these versions…
This version works OK for me, DV (with ON and with On demand) and SDR & HDR, on my LG Oled C2 and G3 TVs.
Mine is LG OLED G3 as well. Would you pls upload the earlier update 5 version for my testing?

I have 3 versions saved, 20240609154632, 20240611092954 and latest 20240613134127. All work for me, and am using the latest…
If you disable DV ie. Mode => OFF and reboot, can you play any DV file?
for me , in my case , only this 20240613134127 don’t work with DV On or ON Demand

I did try 20240611092954(DV working fine) and latest 20240613134127(DV not work at any option even alway on, off, on demand, it’s green screen when playback Profile 5), I’d like to try if you can offer update 5.tar

No it doesn’t work, at least on my Aurora Pro Dolby Vision projector.
In fact it makes a lot of noise
20240613134127 for me it is a bug.
But this does not detract from the work done by CPM, which I continue to thank for everything

"Update 5.tar was removed and replaced 3 hours later with “update 6”. I don’t have it saved…
none is fine, even turn it to alway on.
P7 will be playback as HDR10
I install update 4 at this moment to wait for next update one.
The only difference I have with latest version is when starting P7 my screen on C2, on bottom quarter only, flashes green for a fraction of a second before DV kicks in.
I don’t use it for SDR8/10, only for HDR10+ => DV because my LG TV does not support HDR10+.
For me SDR to HDR/DV is not acceptable, because whites are too high and mid tones are too low, resulting in much darker skin complexion, not to my liking…
Yes a base install and then the tar update, I can do a full install package if people continue to have issue, but this has always worked for me, the “fresh install” procedure is there just to rule out as much potential other issues as possible, just using the tar update would normally be fine on any 21 CE ng already installed.

So confirm if you scroll down to the bottom “-For Dolby Vision” is also set “off”.
And confim the version has actually installed as seen on screen:
Presuming that is all the same, going to need a debug log, follow the steps here:

- Reboot.
- Play a DV mkv for a few secs.
- Upload the log.

Does the fresh install overwrite our existing settings? This is the part that worries me, thank you.
(I would prefer builds based on latest nightly’s).
