EmuELEC: Retro Emulation Kodi Addon for CoreELEC!

As far as I know the wireless adapter does not work with CE, but I am not 100% sure.

The PSX emulator does not have resolution options.

i know, this dosnt help me

i know but i want it ^^ It must be possible to add some filtering

The xbox 360 controllers with the wireless adapter from Microsoft should work. I have several, and will verify in the morning that this is still true.

@SincereHonda So I just attached the Xbox 360 wireless adapter paired the Xbox 360 controllers, and everything just worked.

Fantastic, I have just ordered my N2, so it will probably arrive next week :slight_smile: hope I can playback all videos now, dunno about AV1 though

The N2 is able to software decode most 8bit 1080p AV1 files reasonably well, as long as they don’t have to high of a bit rate. This will probably improve a bit as the decoder software for the AV1 codec matures.

Cool I should have no regret getting that instead of the RP4 then which dont seem to have much working yet and the hardware seems bad compared to N2. AV1 would be more important for 4K but I suppose that needs hardware decoding support

ya, decoding AV1 at 4k would require having a hardware AV1 decoder. Which is something that no in production device has at the moment. There is also is not any devices that I’m aware of that will reach market in the immediate future either that has an AV1 hardware decoder.

Not to mention content that uses AV1 is in kinda short supply besides a few samples.

Year I just know I will end up having this device for many years and AV1 seems to be the next big thing

@shanti Thanks for building EmuELEC and spending your time on supporting it! :slight_smile:

Will there be another add-on version of EmuELEC at all or are you concentrating only on the full version from now on?

You got something wrong, I’m NOT building EmuELEC, but @shanti is. So all credits go to him and his effort !

Ah, damn it. Sorry for the mix-up!

How can I launch Amiga games? I have three games in the correct folder in zip files, and they show up in the GUI. When launching, the screen goes black for a while and then returns to the EmuELEC main menu. I have kick13.rom in the same folder as the games. I tried different emulators but none of them worked.

Also, is it possible to use a separate keyboard and a joypad to control things? I was just thinking of C64 games like Skool Daze or Castle Wolfenstein which require also using keys. I don’t yet have a wireless keyboard so I’d like to confirm this first.

No wander they don’t work, since your kickstart rom is in wrong folder. All Amiga roms should go to /storage/roms/bios/ folder. Take care that roms match proper names and checksums.
If they don’t, the games will not work !

Just to be safe and versatile I have the same roms with different names like this:

Amiga 500 => kick13.rom and kickstart13.rom and kick34005.A500 (all same rom)
Amiga 600 => kick31.rom and kickstart31.rom and kick40063.A600 (all same rom)
Amiga 1200 => kick41.rom and kickstart32.rom and kick40068.A1200 (all same rom)

This way I have all name conventions covered for most games…

Are the correct checksums available somewhere? I have a quite big bunch of Kickstart ROMs so it’s not easy to find the correct ones.

Of course they are, you get them from wherever you download your roms. I presume you know how to check checksums… If not there are online sites that can check them for you.
Take a loo here for more info.

Thanks, that’s what I needed. The files are in archives so I should see the md5 checksums for each file already without running them through a separate checking tool.

You posted an example of using network share for roms. The link no longer works. Could you repost? Thanks
