Help, support CPM build

It’s a matter of fact statement and not directed at you. I don’t care what you install or want to convince you of anything.

Explain why then. Not having a crack, but be helpful rather than throw around benign statements as per above without any evidence to arm people with in order to make their own choice.

Sorry that’s unfair. The poster I was replying to said what he wanted to play. I was basing that comment on what @ajz said and, as he has kindly pointed out, it was a direct reply to him, based on his stated use case. The comment you’ve highlighted was just an acknowledgement of his position. It wasn’t a general opinion about what people should or shouldn’t do.

I stated on several other posts that this build had many benefits for people who wanted to convert formats. In case there is still any doubt, my opinion is that people can enjoy their devices however they wish to.

Edit: Rereading my other posts, particularly the lengthier one I posted a bit after the one you quoted, I actually think my positivity about the CPM build is pretty apparent.

I mis a option that prioritizes HDR10+ over DV in videos containing both.
With a Samsung tv i prefer the HDR10+ in DV/HDR10+ video.

I know that turning the engine off, is a solution. But just curious if it possible to achieve it with a option.

Big thanks to al the volunteers here btw! Great stuff.

Ran the A9 update and everything went ok, boots up. Where are you getting fails? Using the Kodi updater addon? mount-storage.sh? or after updating? maybe the A9 update tar file was corrupted?

Hi, i post my problem with the A CPM builds here, too.

having trouble with some dolby digital+ 7.1 movies.

My AVR shows DD although the movies is dd+ and i have audio stuttering

With version

CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega_devel_20240915045212.T7

everything is working fine.

Movie gets DD+ without audio stutter.

For example Planet of the apes new kingdom has this problem for me.

Edit also working fine with cpm t8 Version.
Just with the A Versions i have the Audio Problems with Dolby Digital+ 7.1

Maybe there is a way to fix the Problem for the next Version?

i am running a ugoos am6b+

I did some testing and can confirm DD+ 7.1 is not working properly in the CPM A9 build. I also tested with the latest official nightly (20241109) and with that version there are no issues.

I tested using this sample:

The file shows this in mediainfo:

Channel(s) : 6 channels
Channel(s)_Original : 8 channels
ChannelLayout_Original : L R C LFE Ls Rs Lb Rb

I ran into a reddit post talking about this and someone mentioned that after remuxing it would show 8 “real” channels. So I ran the file through mkvtoolnix and got this:

Channel(s) : 8 channels
Channel layout : L R C LFE Ls Rs Lb Rb

However in both cases my Denon X2800H showed 8 channels as input.

But as you said, with the CPM build there are a lot of audio dropouts and the track is recognized as DD by the receiver whereas with the latest nightly it shows DD+ and there are no audio dropouts.

So definitely something wrong in the CPM build.

Just wondering which version is more stable at the moment. new A9 build or CPM’s last T8 build?

Wait…are there multiple branches of CPM builds as well?! Curious enough is the only time I see this listed, only updates for CPM and their corresponding working skins for Player Processor Info, were listed as A builds .
Is there a changelog on what the T builds do differently?

no multiple branches, just naming change.
Tx-builds are the older ones, Ax followed/replaced them.

Throughly satisfied with A8. Can anyone say what changes there are with A9?

Thanks for that. A little changelog like this is sometimes very helpful, so thank you!

Can i request this somewhere?

I think, this feature is under work now.
You can check the Github page…

Aah, thanx for the reply! I must look more on the github. Forget that, is that the one where CPM builds are located?

The xbmc section

Hello, can I install cpm a9 on a x96 x10 pro with amlogic s928?
