What dtb did you install?
Using the ABD command also takes me to the Android Recovery screen.

Are you booting from SDcard or USB stick? Maybe try USB if you haven’t?
The files are on usb drive. But it doesn’t give me an option to choose when I use that boot to CoreElec app.
The app is just issuing an ADB ‘reboot update’ command, the bootloader does the sdcard, USB boot handling. But that’s not your problem. Maybe your USB stick isn’t flashed correctly.
You followed the Etcher flashing instructions? Try reflashing.

No. I used Rufus to flash it. I’ll try using this method.
It might be my thumb drive. It’s a 128gb Sandisk.
8 GB is more than enough
Yeah I figured this one was overkill but I already had it. I’ll have order a smaller one.
Some Sandisk have built in drivers/Sandisk Udisk /conflict with partitioning
Try generic USB or uSD Card

I used a 128GB pen drive one time and it did work. Have you tried the paper clip method?? Remove power from your box, then depress the reset button that is under the hole on the bottom of the device. Keep that rest depressed and restore the power. Keep it depressed until you see the CoreELEC screen.
If it still does NOT boot into the CoreELEC OS, then that is the wrong device tree.
I used this one and it worked. Sandisk Extreme Plus 128GB
Rufus should have worked also. Got to be a wrong DTB (device tree). They keep changing components inside of the boxes, so keep trying different device trees.
It was my Sandisk drive causing the problem. I used my PNY drive and it works.
I just can’t get it to exit CoreElec and go back to AndroidTV lmao.
I don’t think there’s a reboot to nand option in CE-NG for the s905x4 at the moment. Do a CE shutdown, pull the USB stick out, and it will boot to ATV.

In CE-NG stable? Maybe it was fixed in a nightly build?
You have to use Aeon Nox: Silvo skin to get the boot to the nand on the Dune Homatics box.
