The IR diode is above, the solder is below .
Is this with ATV14 or did you switch back to ATV12?
Since you said that same firmware caused issues for you in the past
Is everything working perfect now?
I have a Homatics box 4k that boots into white screen that I can ssh into and sound ok as works with Spotify connect. It’s odd because the installations always start ok for a bit with fresh install and then break after a while. All televisions display white screen. I’m sure I found a link to someone with this exact problem but I cannot locate it….The box is on android 14

Hey Guys! As far as i understand, there is no IR in Homatics Box R 4K Plus? As i’m not able to power it up from suspended state, which means that i need to buy additionally IR reciever?
Buy a wifi socket plug and start it from you phone
There are several users that placed that IR receiver themselves in the box. The sockets for that one are left empty and the receiver can easily be soldered in the motherboard.
i tried to install in my Homatics Box R 4K Plus which has android 14 the CoreELEC-Amlogic-ne.aarch64-21.2-Omega-Generic.img,
and also the CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.2-Omega_nightly_20251020-Generic.img
by following the instructions, i only get a loop of white screen.. Tried both ports. My usb is a Samsung Bar plus 3.1
Do not use ATV14 with CoreELEC, not a best idea for now, get back to ATV12 and make your life better ![]()
P.S Some of the USB sticks might not work properly, at least for example Sandisk 3.1 didn’t worked for me. Also do not forget to use FAT32.
The box had Android 14 preinstalled, totally mess to rollbak to android 12. The only reason i want core elec is that it can not pass multichannel PCM for DTS-HD movies, otherwise i will be using Kodi directly from Android
it’s pretty easy to rollback if you follow the instructions, everything is there in the guide.
All set-top boxes in the Homatics Box R 4K Plus series have reserved IR soldering positions on their motherboards. Compared with the BGA soldering of chips, this soldering process is relatively easier.
I answered you on AVS on this (if that was you) ![]()
I have Android 14 on the box and CE (Piers) is very stable. Only remaining issue is with DV and subtitles, as the subtitles get very dark grey every now and then.
Hi guys, I have a Homatics Box R 4K Plus running on android 12. I want to be able to play DV FEL 7 files, which build do i need to install? I have installed the latest NG build and pasted the dovi.ko file both in root and in ConfigFiles from samba but im not getting the DV settings in CoreELEC. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
What does Kodi show under System Information → Video? Do you see Dolby Vision listed there?
No DV is not listed there, only HDR10 and HLG.
That means that dovi.ko is not being loaded properly. Are you sure you got the correct version? There are different ones for Android 12 and 14 for example. The correct one for Android 12 should have a size of 1.290.671 bytes.
May I ask why Homatics Box R 4K Plus is preferred over Rocktek G2 when they are the same beneath? Are they somehow different in Android side aspect?
Rocktek G2 has a microsd slot, so it should be better?
Also can they both dualboot? Can Rocktek dualboot from microsd?
Hello,
I am using the Nokia 8010 box and am looking for a way to wake the box via Wake-on-LAN (WOL), as the box cannot be started via remote control. Currently, I can only start the box via CEC or the power cable.
I have activated the WOL function in the CoreElec menu, but the box cannot be woken up via the MAC address of some WOL tools. Neither in standby mode nor in off mode.
Has anyone already tried this successfully? Does it work with one of the other boxes with the same chip?
Hi to all, i’am an old xbmc user since xbox one and it’s variant (openelec, libreelec)
First time with coreelec
So i haver a 4k plus with atv 14 4576
I followed this guide
And installed this file:
CoreELEC-Amlogic-ne.aarch64-21.3-Omega_nightly_20251102-Generic.img.gz
Tried a reboot with jamal reboot to coreelec but i only see a bootloop of homatics logo (tried first first reboot and after normal reboot)
Tried adb reboot update but even if i’m connected with adb tools i get adb devices /system/bin/sh inaccessibile or not found
Will try later with a pc
Btw where i’m wrong ? why i get bootloop instead of coreelec? thx
