sorry, should’ve realised I needed to post it properly rather than just as raw text.
It’s worth stating that otherwise CE is working pretty damn perfect on my new Homatics, DV etc. works great.

General info update. Have reported the PAL DVD ISO plavpack issue to Dune Support. I also noticed that I can switch the GUI to 576i manually and the DVD ISO plays fine. if I switch the GUI to 576p then I get the same problem - black screen. No remote response other than power on/off. So looks like the Dune Homatics box has issue with 576p native output. and the Player automatically tries to output progressive 576p from 576i. Same as NTSC DVD native 480i plays fine at 480p.
Here is a working and accurate KEYMAP for Nokia 8010 remote using meson-ir. The above one by frodo19 had wrong scan codes for power, volume and mute buttons. Only streaming service and voice command buttons are excluded.

I was also wondering if there was a way to include these two files while making a fresh install and renaming the dtb to dtb.img. I don’t want to SSH and stop/restart kodi services each time I reinstall CoreELEC.
It looks like proper handling of the MCH PCM has returned with today’s nightly
Yep, seems to be working OK now
This only moves storage to the emmc, right? USB still needed to boot, I suppose?
I have a Nokia on the way… Does their remote work over Bluetooth?
Hello.
I have 2 problems.
If pairing consisted only of pressing 2 buttons on the remote control, it would not be a problem for me, but I have to connect the keyboard every time to enter the appropriate CoreElec menu and give “Pair” next to the appropriate device. Even after doing this, the remote still doesn’t work and only after rebooting CoreElec does the remote work.
Would the CoreElec team be able to adapt the software as it works in Android TV. As the android TV remote control does not see itself pairs with it. Or something like permanently adding remote.
Usually for pairing only 2 pair buttons needs to be pressed in CoreELEC. But as I said: sometimes works, sometimes not.
I spend lot of time to make this working better but I had only partial success. Because of that I gave up on this thing for now.
The Nokia has IR receiver build in, you should use that with CE and the remote, not BT.
It’s problematic in my setup to use IR since I don’t have line of sight. I also can’t stand the delay with IR.
i also hate IR. Line of sight is such a unnecessary limit.
Sadly a few of my devices use IR.
The result is that when i want to change volume or things with my projector my light and leds go haywire.
Also if i control my avr my projector trys wild things -.-
2.4ghz or blutooth or what ever non ir is best (:
Yep, this is why we have CEC and I haven’t had any issues with CEC in the last decade with the LG TVs I typically use (also haven’t had any CEC issues with my Sony A95K).
do you happened to know if i can map keys from my AVR remote to go to kodi?
the default enter and arrow keys from my marantz remote are only needed when a menu is opened.
Otherwise they could be used for kodi.
Using my Sofabaton X1 remote, the Dune is behaving quite well. I need to add the Dune Homatics IR and a generic Android TV Bluetooth (paired in CoreElec) to the Activity. This means that the Dune turns on from the IR command, but once booted uses Bluetooth for navigation/control. I sometimes have to switch to the android device on the remote to re-establish bluetooth, but otherwise pretty pleased it more or less works. The downside is, if you want to reboot into Main Android TV you need to repair, but I might be able to get around that by adding another Activity to switch to and seperate pairing.
yeah universal remotes are a thing. I looked at the Logitech harmony.
But the cheaper remotes all look like cheap plastic compared to my Cambridge Audio or even the marantz remote
I paid so much for that hobby and than i have that cheap plastic to control it
If i dont find a solution ill build my own remote and control it with HomeAssistant… but i really want to check other ways first since i dont like to be HA dependent. (and also the timeinvestment sucks ^^ )
I need to grab the logs but I find performance on the Homatics pretty poor, feels incredibly flaggy with lots of random pauses when attempting to navigate the menus.
hm … do you have a 2nd usb where you can test with a fresh install?
i have a few bugs but performance is only a problem with background playback in menues (which is like 2 fps).
but that aside its really smooth
I do actually, I’ll give it a go
Now my box after upgrading to the latest firmware 5310, can not play movies, CE-nightly_20230620 will reboot
