Yes this is what I did I used https://relkai.coreelec.org/Amlogic-ng/ce-21/CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega_nightly_20241118-Generic.img.gz and dtb (to dtb.img) from bazzle for kinhank G1 https://discourse.coreelec.org/uploads/short-url/xFjtbwMX9m41YFfFFfPm38vESow.dtb but I got blue sky …

EDIT : This issue is fixed by using @MrMind V2 dtb THANKS to him !

Bazzle shared the latest CE -NG DTB, so it should work.

If again it doesn’t work for some users, likely there is sth changed on HW (again), e.g. pcb rev. and/or used ICs. Checkout the ETH 1G discussion here.

Besides the locked Bootloader issue, this was another reason for CE to drop support. Nobody has time & motivation to reverse-engineer & hunt for drivers again and again for such a bargain box.

For people who have the same dtb problem just try the dtb included in nightly sc2_s905x4_4g.dtb and enable “use player led” in setting/system/coreelec to your brand new kinhank G1 and thats will work good. I can get DV /FEL / MEL with this. Dont forget Dovi.ko and remote.conf. …

Should “bargain price” really be the decisive factor? It’s a potent box, no matter how much it costs. What if the price for AM6B drops to bargain level, should support for it also be dropped?

Hi all
Thanks to CE Team for CE , to hungphutho for his genious FW (and file explorer …) and to mike59 for its way with dtb = my brand new device work flawlessly now DV / FEL / MEL (sample work) but have an issue with remote… I can not wake it up with power button from CE… And my TV power off the box when I quit but don’t power on the box when I open it. if some know how to get it thanks for that !

There is no solution to wake up the device from the remote except to get up from your place and press the power button

Just try to disable/turn off CEC feature on CE (look for Enabled section), as it may not work correctly with different devices and setups.

And I can’t think of any recent CE device that has a wake-up feature from a remote control.
If you want this feature, there’s smart plugs.

Well Atlas its look like we have the same revision box… I get the same !"#$%?&*(.
Yes thanks for sure to CE Team/Hungphutho/Zuma/bazzle and all for help here
But
CE play well BL_EL FEL where its not the case for Hungphutho FW which do not but CE DO NOT play few DV from LG sample like LG Demo DolbyVision Comparison ??.. and remote power on to wake up issue…

I already tried that x-killer and no difference excepted for LAN 100 instead 1000 but its not just me or Atlas but I think ALL kinhank G1 owners who have this remote/wake up power issue

Last solution: Change the device’s behavior when pressing the power button from sleep mode to off mode
on setting/system/input

Hi @hungphutho thanks for your fw. Just in atv & android kodi(22) apk , you can’t see any files in internal to copy/paste or sd card. Is there a fix as i know Google has block this.

OK many many thanks hungphutho and you all it work for me now with this dtb from @MrMind I get BT perfect WiFi perfect and LAN and I can set in CE settings/system/entry cec adapter to power off when tv close and then I can power on the kinhank manually, with power button in front, to start CE

Yes Atlas hungphutho and all I thank you and I confirm that me too my kinhank work very well now with this new dtb from @MrMind [sc2_s905x4_kinhank_g1_new_revision.dtb)… I focused on wake up power on but I see that now this dtb give me LAN WiFi and BT and better display of DV FEL and HDR. Power off via my TV cec and power on manually the box with power button in front 8-))
