Kinhank G1

The technical team is currently carrying out some adaptation development and testing, and it is expected that the update Android TV 14 will be pushed in February next year.

With locked boot ?

I received the email from support kihang! Unfortunately I don’t know any more!

Question to everyone if I order the g1 kihang from Amazon now 3x is it the new one with 1000m LAN?

or better orbsamart g1?

thank you mfg

All new devices from different vendors are rev D, which version do you have (100M) or (1Gig) NIC?

Speedtest & get100M max with sc2_s905x4_kinhank_g1_new_revision , is there another way to check for sure?

Oh sorry you didn’t mention them so I was thinking that YOU speak for kinhank as support lol
You must but it from AE instead of Amazon…

buying all 3 next week

don’t have one yet

NIC ?

Thanks

OK thanks but AliExpress Zoll or ? to Austria

There should be no discussion how great the G1 is as a ATV/CE combo box. And the price tag is fabulous. The fuss that the correct .dtb for NG must be “sideloaded” is no deal at all. The only problem is the danger of a locked bootloader.

I have two of them, the first one is a 1GB LAN revision, the second unfortunately has only 100 MB. But between us, who needs more than 20 mbps for streaming? Name me a stream that exceeds 100mbps! 8K 16 bit video with uncompressed 8 channel audio?

Thank you very much for contacting Orbsmart Support in writing.

A version update is being worked on. I can’t tell you exactly when this will appear.
The LAN connection has 100Mbit.

But I ordered the original Kihang from Amazon and paid 73.77 euros, whereas before Black Week the price was 68 euros

but ok

Hello, if I install Coreelec on the NAND, do I lose Dolby Vision?

@Jona86
S905X4-J Devices
Supports AV1, Dolby Vision including FEL, and 3D on CoreELEC -ng. However, they cannot decode 24fps VC-1 content. CoreELEC cannot be installed on the emmc. It must be run off an external device. However, the data partition can be stored on the emmc with HS400 enabled.

You can install CE on NAND but only as single-boot installation so Android will be deleted. Dolby Vision FEL also will run fine.

Hello, how can I install it on the nand? I have installed cpm and I like it a lot but with the microsd I find it slow, I don’t want Android at all, I would like to just coreelec cpm on the nand? how do I do it? thanks for your help

What do you mean Slow? I cant fault mine running from SD card.
Try a better class card.

Since CoreElec once booted runs from memory, the only advantage running from eMMC is in boot time; and that difference is not significant between booting from a fast USB device and eMMC. In my opinion it’s not worth the hassle, but to each his own

I used “ceemmc -x” command to install on NAND. You will get a warning about lack of support for your device but you can accept this and proceed.

I think installing nand is unnecessary,
it’s dangerous and currently cannot be repaired if the boot is damaged,
there is no fw or repair kit for it!

I have a 128GB Samsung Evo Plus microsd and it runs very slow, I have installed cpm10 and the covers take a while to come out and are delayed that’s why I said to install on the nand, another problem I see is that it only works at 100 megabytes I have the rev d, do you have a network adapter that gives you enough speed to read remuxes via smb to be able to use fel?
