Kinhank G1

Hard to tell from image

Think hungphutho is using UFI Box
Emmc service tool

Or Easy J-tag Box

Emmc tool

I use an older nightly build 2024-10-09, that can be the reason why my DT is detected being not out of date.

you do not have to know as the ATV ROM is for all revisions. After flashing it you can check LAN speed under Android or simply try both dtb.img files as you try to boot to CE and see which one works.

This is great! So many questions. Hope you get some time to post some more detail. Thank you.

You work very fast. I think you are a proficient engineer. You can express in detail to everyone. I can’t express, my English is bad.

Yes, you need USB UART TTL and soldering iron

I have both. But I know few people here have emmc tool. The uart solution would be appropriate to discuss on this forum.

  1. Copy bootloader.img from hungphutho to SDCARD
  2. Insert SDCARD to your G1 SDCARD slot
  3. Connect PC to G1 using UART
  4. Open Putty or similar with speed 921600
  5. Turn on G1 after 2s then short the D0 testpoint wait until # prompt appear
  6. Downgrade your bootloader with command sdc_update bootloader bootloader.img
  7. Make sure downgrade successful
  8. Done

this test point also work for me

Thank you so much.

Can I ask, I assume this bootloader.img - can be found somewhere in this thread?

It may be too late, but can you show a picture of where you connected the UART to the G1? Did you have to solder? [edit – I do see the GND, Rx, Tx, Gnd to the left of your photo - that is fine]

Thanks

I need to get some things right
1- this file bootloader.img for ATV11 or ATV12 ?
2- what UART you use? Is it possible to have a picture for clarification?
3- only copy file bootloder.img or write with tool to sdcard?

this steps not for unlock bootloader ATV12 after update?

Reading first line of instructions from post #727 again would be of great help
“1. Copy bootloader.img from hungphutho to SDCARD”

ATV12 ?
There is no ATV12, after update it is still ATV11

Currently, there is only android 11, instead of 12, 14 will come next February (other source).
The last OTA update fixed the adaptive HDR switch and locked the bootloader!
But V11 remains!
