Hey thanks for asking. Putty wasn’t working for me so I went kamikaze & experimented the hell out of it incl. flashing ugoos x4q firmware & few others but still came up stumped.
But finally what worked & got it back to life by flashing @hungphutho firmware twice in a row & leaving it plugged a minute after the ‘Success’ msg in aml burning tool. Maybe @tobik2@titistajn try this?
Hi can you play movies like ‘Misery’ smoothly on WiFi?
Also those with gigabit Ethernet, what speed do you get on ATV? I’m guessing it’s limited by ATV firmware unlike in coreelec & can @hungphutho help with that.
And finally we can turn on g1 if turned off in ATV so why can’t we turn on if turned off in coreelec, anyone can look into that please.
My G1 rev-a can be turned on with remote after it was shut down in CE-ng.
My Ethernet speed in ATV is about 480Mbit/s measured with “analiti” app (on 500Mbit/s internet connection) well over 100…
Why can’t i turn on mine from ce- do you use sny method i.e remote.conf? , if not then Rev-a seem to be the holy grail, i wonder if we can buy them anywhere.
Hi thanks, so i placed homatics remote.conf in config folder, i can turn off with g1 poweroff button on the remote buti can’t turn on via it, anything im missing? Can you upload the remote.conf to compare.
Ok
This is why I can not reccomend this Box to the average user…
Here is more tips/tricks
Grab a power bar/power strip/surge bar
That has a toggle switch off/on
So you are sitting at terminal
In front of you ,is Kinhank PCB with u-art attached, SD Card formatted F32 with bootloader copied over and inserted
Power supply is connected to power strip
Toggle switch is in the off position
You have configuerd Putty and have hit open or start.
You have a blank Putty display, with flashing cursor top left
Now follow Tutorial from tasmansaroha
On power bar Toggle switch turn to on
Wait 2/ 3 seconds
Short test point.
Complete the rest of steps in Tutorial
When you turn toggle switch to on power bar if nothing appears in Putty screen
Then something is wrong
Then turn off and check your connection s
This method works for me
That does not mean is only way to do it
Ipv4:manual (it auto filled)
Ipv6:ip address method off
Dns servers:nameserver 1/2-google
Dns domain: blank
Ntp server: was auto filled
Disconnect & reconnect
A bit better but still freezing on misery, what is your cache settings?
Did anyone apart from @Sholander ever manage to turn on the g1 from shutdown in ce? Ive tried homatics & kinhank remote.conf files but to no avail. Thanks.
Thanks, my friend has rev-b gets 1gb in ce via eth, but only 100mb in ATV, guess this is a kernel thing & can’t be changed via firmware? & only rev-a gets full gb in atv, rev-a was the one to get but atlas with greed they stopped it to save few £$€
Thx I will try this week to update my nightly but I’m remember the dtb included did not work the first time (blue screen at CE boot with my G1 revision D ) and I had to use the sc2_kinhank_g1_new_revision.dtb … I think this one included will not work too… Did you use the one included in last build without issue with a G1 D revision ?
I answer to myself to say that the last stable build 21.2 ng is not better than 20241126 nightly build.
With the last stable CE 21.2 -ng I have to reboot CE often to recover the DoVi capacity where the nightly was good for 2 weeks before reboot needed. Both run good and stable but after few days DoVi do not work and all DV movies are displayed in SDR format after a while I have to reboot and the 21.2 build more often. Like with nightly build .mkv .srt subtitles are not displayed immediately when selected and it need to be forced by “fast forward” to be seen
