and you suggest me to downgrade the bootloader. I understand that it is downgraded when the box was updated to the latest version. But my box got stuck in May 2024. The OTA version was not out yet. If I’m not mistaken, it came out in October.

Where are you getting this info? If you don’t overwrite the locked bootloader that comes from the new firmware how would you expect CE to magically work from it?
You are using wrong version of Aml_USB_Burn_Tool. The instructions that @hungphutho wrote for updating G1 the version that should be used is v.3.2.8. In this version there is no option “Erase Bootloader” like in v.3.2.0. It has the option “Verify Bootloader”, and this option should be unchecked.
There is no option “Erase Bootloader” in Aml_USB_Burn_Tool_v.3.2.8 which should be used according to instructions by @hungphutho.
