That kit you mention uses a BT 5 version and as you may already know , there are a variety of modules that start with MT7668, most of which do seem to be of the BT 4.1/2 variety in boxes.

adamg did spend a lot of time on my box trying to get it to work but it seems that there is something missing that prevents it from working within CE.

As you may also have read elsewhere in the past couple of days, adamg is no longer around, so won’t be carrying things forward.

My advise right now is to get a cheap generic BT 4 USB dongle and just keep an eye out in case somebody discovers a workaround in the future.

I used the SCR 4.0 adapter, it works.
CSR_4_0

Same as mine and yes, works well.

I know that a BT dongle works, I’m using one.
The advantage of using the internal one is that I free a USB port, since I just have two and don’t want to use an USB HUB.
Makes the controversial point of having a small powerful box and them you have to have a bunch of external things to use it since everything inside doesn’t work, for that I buy a normal big PC or some other big machine.

@Compent Anyway, do you still have the driver or compiled code that adamg tested with you?
I like to take a look to see if I find anything extra.
I can’t cross compile properly the sources I have and found here since I don’t have the proper base PC and OS version or worst I’m doing something totally wrong and compile fails always with some error.

Sadly not, it was deleted at the end of the test.

Hi,
is there any news on Archer T2U and Odroid C4 compatibility?
Do I need to provide further info?
Thanks

Mini m8ii s905x with NG latest build.

Bluetooth works but doesn’t pair with my amazon remote.
I get input output errors.
Bluetooth pairs on same box with android.
I thought the drivers must have bugs. Can they be fixed?

Droix X3 S905X3 box - cannot get ethernet to connect at 1Gb - I tried using the sm1_s905x3_4g_1gbit device tree but it would not boot at all, the sm1_s905x3_4g is what Im on now and everything except 1gb seems to work, I can connect at 100meg

CoreELECcj:~ #

this is for the WLAN adapter, not ethernet LAN RJ45

Sorry, how would I do it for Ethernet then?

Apologies - just read it again! I see now - this is for WiFi or Bluetooth issues. No problem

WiFi only connects at G speed though and not 5Ghz/ac - is that something that should be in this thread?

Same for me on my X96 Max plus.
No Wifi or Bluetooth.
(Not the end of the world for me as ethernet connection is solid)

X96 Max+ (S905X3/4G/32G/GBe). It has a subversion Q2. The Wifi chip is Cdtech 4761743 which is a Qualcomm QCA6174A design, I guess.

BTW, is it normal that I got exactly the same URL with the post of Macfunk?

BTW2, I found a webpage describing a situation that ath10k driver for 3.14.64 kernel does not support QCA6174A, and the writer found a way to amend the problem. The key is to download “compat-wireless-2017-09-25.tar.xz” from “http://mirror2.openwrt.org/sources/” and build it for Android 6.0.
Maybe this webpage can provide some helpful info. It’s written in Chinese and have code examples and screen snapshots. I hope you can grab some idea by Google translation and guessing.

FYI.
