Looking for users with no working WiFi or BT

Driver is only supported in Amlogic-no. It uses RTW88 driver.

I just tried coreElec 22 nigthly “new order” and the wifi usb dongle doesn’t work, however coreElec 22 nigthly “new era” does detect it and works. Thanks

Then make a log with working project to see what driver is used.

taken with the ethernet connection + usb wifi RTL8811AU in coreElec 22 new era latest version nightly.Thanks

Hello, is there anything new on this matter?

Sadly no at this time.

can I help with something? Do you need any more information I can provide?

TrendNET AC1200 USB Wifi dongle (TEW-805-UBH) with following info:
Bus 001 Device 009: ID 20f4:805a TRENDnet 802.11ac NIC

This uses the RTL88x2BU driver but the one currently packaged with CoreELEC is apparently too old.

There’s more info on this in a previous post I made but I realized that it should probably be here. I’m assuming/hoping that this will be updated with the next version of CoreELEC? Is there a possibility that it might be included in an upcoming nightly?

Let me know if there is any additional info that I can provide or anything else that I can do to help.

Many thanks.

Happy new year all!
Is this thread still active?
For a while I own a BT 5.3 adapter with a ATS2851 chip not working with my Odroid n2+ and CE 21.
Do you still want some tests?
Moreover I’d be glad to know what Wi-Fi 6 USB dongle are good now.
Thanks

Hello,

I’m new to the forum. Sorry if I don’t know something well.

I would like to ask for help setting up a newly purchased G7 Max.

I installed the CE on an SD card. Stable and Nigthly version as well. Everything is fine except that there is no bluetooth.
Coreelec Bluetooth it display: “No Bluetooth adapter found”

It is also interesting that the Power LED works in reverse. On is red and off is blue.

SSH:
log.txt (495 Bytes)

udevadm info /sys/bus/sdio/devices/*
devices.txt (2.7 KB)
dmesg:
dmesg.txt (143.8 KB)

How can I make bluetooth work?

Thanks

Hello my friend, I can help with the inverse PowerLed diode. enter this command in the console.
Bash

#!/bin/bash
GPIO=`fdtget -t x /flash/dtb.img /gpioleds/sys_led gpios`
GPIO_ACTIVE_FLAG=`echo $GPIO| awk 'END {print $NF}'`
if [[ "$GPIO_ACTIVE_FLAG" == "1" ]]; then
  echo "SYSTEM LED GPIO IS CORRECT"
  exit 0
else
  echo "Changing System Led GPIO_ACTIVE flag"
  GP=`echo $GPIO | sed '$s/\w*$//'`
  GPIO=$GP"1"
  mount -o remount,rw /flash
  fdtput -t x /flash/dtb.img /gpioleds/sys_led gpios $GPIO
  sync
  mount -o remount,ro /flash

Hi, and Happy New Year!

I’m not exactly sure what we did, but with the code you provided, the PowerLED functionality was restored after a reboot.

Thank you!

Now the CE system is quite good. It’s a pity I can’t use the headphones due to the lack of Bluetooth. (But Wi-Fi is working fine.)

The real reason I installed CE is that on the original Android, using the KODI app, I encountered inexplicable issues that I couldn’t find a solution for.

  1. The resolution is fixed at 1920x1080p 59.94Hz. Nothing else can be selected, and the whitelist doesn’t contain any other options. I’m also not sure if the signal sent to the TV switches to HDR this way?

  2. The sound of KODI addons is of terrible quality. I tried it with music channels under PVR and with the YouTube addon as well. In all cases, the sound is strangely unstable. It’s like listening to a tape recorder with the tape dragging. Is the playback speed slowed down?

These issues don’t occur under CE, but I really need the headphones to work. I also have a USB CSR 4.0 stick, but it’s not recognized either. Should I install a driver for it?

Hi, I would like to know if CoreELEC supports the MT7663 Wi-Fi adapter. I am using a device with this adapter and would like to confirm compatibility before proceeding with the installation of CoreELEC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What’s the device? There’s a mainline Linux 5.15 mt7663 WiFi driver, but I don’t think it’s included in CE. If it does work, it would be for CE-NO.

Hi, I am using a MiBox S 2nd Gen (MDZ-28-AA) with CoreELEC. I have successfully booted CoreELEC on this device, but I am having issues with the Wi-Fi driver as the MT7663 adapter is not working

Have you tried CE-NO? I don’t know if this driver is currently included. It may also require the mt7663 firmware to be added to CE.

That’s a WiFi/BT combo chip, is Blueooth working either?

Thanks for the info! I will try and see if it works

Works in this version: https://relkai.coreelec.org/Amlogic-no/ce-22/CoreELEC-Amlogic-no.aarch64-22.0-Piers_nightly_20250116-Generic.img.gz
Would it be possible to port the driver to NE so that it would work in that version of Coreelec?

Good day,
I bought a REALTEK RTL8156BG 2.5GBTS USB 3.0 Ethernet adapter. I need it to put it on the connected external hard drive faster from the NAS.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work properly on my UGOOS AM8 TV box.
Is there the possibility to install a driver with SSH?
Maybe someone has a link that I can enter via SSH to install the driver.

Thank you in advance.
