Odroid N2 test builds

If your setup involving an AVR, try switching to other input and back.

But yes…
I see HDMI-CEC behavior in N2 (or CE), is somewhat different than my other device (nvidia shield tv). When N2 is in suspend state, it’s completely invisible to the TV. Unlike the Shield.

You have more chance to get help if you specify your problem in details.
What tv, what AVR, what setup (N2-TV-AVR or N2-AVR-TV)?
You can wake up your N2 with WOL, with CEC, with remote (of other devices if you don’t have for the N2) and with GPIO. All works here.

No Idea, I don’t remember seeing one and it’s not something I’ve ever had to set before. I’ll have a look.

Well that was an easy fix, there is a connect automatically option and for some reason it was turned off :frowning:

I found the issue comes from the cache settings as it is seen here:

2019-06-02 13:59:09.886 T:3573166960   DEBUG: CFileCache::Open - opening </storage/music/Mydy Rabycad/Mydy Rabycad [2017] M.Y.D.Y. [Indies Scope-420 Production, WEB] [FLAC]/02. Rise Up.flac> using cache

So I reverted from
<buffermode>1</buffermode>
to
<buffermode>0</buffermode>
and everything is fine now.

ah yes, sorry for not clear enough. The N2 connected to AVR (Yamaha RX-V685) then to TV (Samsung 65Q6FN).

When I turn off using the TV’s remote while N2 is the active input, everything is shutdown / goes to standby mode (the TV, AVR, N2). However, when I turn the TV back on using the TV remote, only the TV and AVR wakes up, not the N2. It is not a big deal, only minor issue  as can be easily work around by not letting the N2 to sleep when CEC shutdown.

Try to connect your N2 directly to the tv. Turn the tv off and on and check the N2 if still doesn’t wake up after suspend.

Would like to send a HUGE thank you to the guys working at this.

Just set up my N2 (connected to iotavx avx1 7.1 AV processor and 4K TV) with the 11 June nightly and after a bit of massaging sound and video look great. Will get more experience in the next weeks and maybe give some more feedback.

I have the same bluetooth issue with my harmony remote too! Also, I get it if I turn on my system and there was a popup that mentions an update has been downloaded asking me if I want to reboot… I have to reconnect it again. Issue seems to have popped up in the last few days.

I had to manually download today’s nightly and put it into .update myself. Has automatic downloading been left off following yesterday’s problem with the dual booting?

Also found the issue that sound is distorted if anything but 2.0 is selected.

Looking forward to that fix. Hope that wont take a year  Everything but sound works great so far.

Havent tried that yet. Will do so tonight. Thank you so much.

N2 → Iotavx AVX1 → Sony 4K KD55XD9305

Using Embuary Skin (found in kodi repo) , I am unable to edit pvr groups. Instead it just allows me to exit. Perhaps there is a “focus” glitch of some sort. Kodi with Embuary skin (18.2) on android fire tv freshly installed, does allow pvr group modification, but Coreleec with the N2 does not.

A workaround I am using is going back to the default skin, making the changes, then going back to embuary.

I am not sure if this is a skin related issue, or coreelec os.

Thanks for the input !

Try it with Kodi on another platform (like on a PC), make sure to use the same version of both Kodi and the skin.
My guess is that it’s a skin compatibility issue with Kodi 18.2.

when I playback 4K video, the codecinfo shows 4:4:4 10bits, is this normal?

Yes it is the default, only change it if your display have problems with it.

yes , My display has no problem, but my AVR is denon x2400h, at 4:4:4, when I bring out AVR’s osd, the display shows no signal. but it’s no problem at 1080p, so I don’t know if it is avr’s problem?

Yes it is. Read the manual of your AVR.
Even the 2600 cannot handle some (HDR) mode for OSD.

Hi guys!
How is the CPU of the N2 handling more “heavy” skins and other graphical objects (like covers and fanart with higher resolution) compared to S905/S912 boxes? Does it run smoothly?

Very good.

I have the same issue, replaced my Minix U9 with the N2 + CSR4.0 BT Dongle.
Installed the latest nightly 20190617 yesterday and tried to pair my Harmony Hub with the N2.
The initial pairing took a bit longer than expected, but then the BT connection worked (on the Harmony App, where I modified my Activity to use the N2 instead of U9).
Using the Harmony Elite remote however does not send any button presses via BT and after a reboot of the N2, the Harmony App is not working anymore either.

Is there an archive of even older builds (so that I could try that 20190528 build that Comma reported is working fine for him/her with BT devices)?
