Odroid N2 test builds

Do you mean connect my N2 to my laptop?

Yeah. Set static ip’s on both and try to see if Network is stable.

Or if you have a different router or switch.

@KodiKinG you can try to tar update to this build
https://test.coreelec.org/ray/CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.0-devel-1556141261.tar
It has this Ethernet fix +several other fixes

I quickly tested it and it seems the slowdown bug is solved. Fingers crossed for the other testers reporting back.

Sorry to inform you but it does have this issue.

thanks will try this one

i have noticed with the latest test release (april 21st) and even the community test release linked just above by @Ray they both have introduced a new bug for me since the april 14th release:-

The IR is laggy and sporadic when using the MCE RC6 remote and USB MCE IR receiver, if i press a button it may not respond, or it lags and then performs two remote clicks, holding down a button to scroll through a movie collection is also very choppy, starting and stopping a lot, rolling back to the 14th of april test release immediately fixes this.

one thing i did note is that the 21st april test release enables IR for the N2, whereas the 14th april test release requires the MCE IR receiver plugged in, not sure if this is relevant, ive tried with and without the MCE IR receiver and see the lag when running the 21st april release so it dont think its a conflict between the two IR receivers.

please let me know if you want logs or anything else, im quite keen to get this back to how it was.

DVB channels with mp2 audio, do not sound

Can you please try what i did for an issue i had with an addon audio.
I changed the Default ,( Best Match) to Fixed and i got Audio.
Settings / System Settings / Audio / Output Configuration / CHANGED it from default BEST MATCH to Fixed .

New build at:

Looks good for me. The ‘pixelation’ fix seems to be in place and the changelog mentions the ethernet chip and LFE mix into stereo output, as well as an update to displayinfo.

We think we found the slowdown reason. It doesn’t seem to slowdown in the build I shared yesterday:

My n2 updated over night (25th April build) and a quick 30 minute watch this Morning whilst getting ready for work suggest that the issues I was having with pixelation and or video slowdowns seem to of gone.

I’ll test more tonight but it looks good enough to be promoted to my daily driver.

Thanks for all involved.

Matt

  • edit. Still get very occasional slowdowns, no pixelations but occasionally video slowdown then catches up 10-15 seconds later.

The slowdown bug is still in the latest nightly but it will be fixed soon. See Ray’s post before yours.

Cheers, I’ll try that when I get home. Thanks.

My emmc is arriving.
Do I need to prepare it before hand, or everything will be done by installtointernal script?

installtoemmc

If you got an adapter you can use the PC to clean fresh. Otherwise boot your N2 with emmc disconnected from SD card and use the script. Follow the instructions.

This build should already have the fix. So I guess it’s still not fixed.

It was fine for 30 mins, watching bbc1 hd via the HDHomeRun pvr Addon.

Then the video slowed down and caught up with the audio after bout 10 seconds.

Only did it once but I did leave for work straight after that.

Matt

I know you guys are busy but can anybody confirm or deny that they are seeing the infrared issue that I mentioned on my previous post.
