Odroid N2 test builds

I have the MCE remote here all good with meson-ir. I don’t use this USB receiver thing.

Are you on this CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.0-devel-1556153587 or the nightly?

Looks like nightly version was made before slowdowns fix change
Please use first CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.0-devel-1556153587 version for test, if still slowdowns, than version I sent you in PM

@Ray so you have no stuttering or slow down when scrolling though movie libraries? Sorry for my ignorance but what is the meson-ir is that the built in ir receiver?

I’m think it downloaded https://test.coreelec.org/Odroid_N2/CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.0-devel-1556153587.tar
Overnight and installed that version.

I’ll try your pm when I get home, thank you.

No it is working here. I push the button and it works. meson-ir is the built in ir receiver and it works out of the box with MCE remote.

My wife is watching her favourite tv show using this version no slowdown for at least 60 min.

Happy wife, happy life

@Ray thank you for taking the time to reply I really do appreciate it even if it does mean the problem is at my end  I will reply back when or if I figure out what is going on

Did you try it with the internal meson-ir receiver?

which MCE remote do you use? Any recommendation ? There are many so called “MCE Remote” listed on Amazon

yes i did, ive tried it with both and have the same result.its very odd, i will take a deeper look tonight and see if i can spot anything in the logs.

@Skytalker There are multiple revisions of it like you mentioned, the one below has the nice light up keys and also comes with the programmable pc on and tv on buttons as well as channel and volume, its the best of the bunch imho, here is a link to a picture of the remote i have:-

I would not recommend any because I don’t use IR at all.
I have this one:

Anyone else seeing the n2 stuck at reboot directly after hitting the reboot button? It happens from time to time for me.

Is that currently normal when using 4k?

I had the same problem. just calibrate the edges.

You need to take a look at your guisetttings.xml, clean it and try again.
