Odroid N2 test builds

There something wrong - in the decoder. I see the same here with a 1080p endgame trailer. Looks like the same if bypass_all is enabled!? No problems on 1080i. Looks a problem with the deinterlace.

The enable_switch_fense really makes it even more bad.

Remember that progressive is bypassed by default now. Bypass_all does nothing.

Without whitelisting all my used resolutions, my vizio 2015 tv cannot switch to 4k with adjust display refresh rate “on” . It was mentioned here a fix was implemented for this issue. @stillmatic have you witnessed any change with regards to this? If you disable whitelisting, is it still not switching and instead giving a blank screen as before?

I have updated to the latest nightly.

Thank you again for looking into this!

The nightlies didn’t fix the issue for me.

I did the following to get it working.

  • Loaded @cdu13a’s build via coreelec restore
  • Restarted Kodi
  • Removed all Whitelisting preferences in settings
  • Ran @TheCoolest’s suggested string via SSH before attempting 4k content.
    echo 422 > /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/attr
  • Attempted to run 4k content. Ran without a hitch!

.

I’m currently working on an other test build to try and resolve this problem. Should be able to post a build by some time later tonight.

Discussed earlier in this thread.

CoreELEC gives priority to SD card, Ubuntu to eMMC. With Ubuntu on SD and CoreELEC on eMMC neither wants to boot first.

Maybe someone will get Petitboot working 100% soon.

@PViriX @stillmatic

Can you try the following build. It’s another attempt at resolving the 4k issues with your TVs.

Ok Thanks. Understand better now.
Sorry yes a research with Ubuntu would have given me the answer…

For the hyperion users and the >1080 problem: please test the version for the N2: https://mega.nz/#!3HhmRQpC!CiqDcDLzIdu0Ys3jGRK5kyLcLJPlQ02law1ZvbXjW2M

Hello Portisch. Thank you for your support. Just tested your version but the result is the same.

It looks like that captured image is squeezed horizontaly.

Thx for testing, than some other kernel changes have to be the reason.

Also seeing this behaviour.
It’s easy to test for as well as Kodi uses amvideocap for screenshots.
Screenshot from 25th April odroid n2 build

Screenshot from yesterday’s relkai nightly

Just made a screenshot using kodi-remote and recieved normal image.

Is that a >= 1080p video?
I just tried again with kodi-remote and still got the same garbage screenshot.

Edit.
Just tried @Portisch test build.
Screenshot is good and Hyperion is working fine in the video that was broken for me

Yes, it’s 1080p video.

Hmm, the first video i played after reboot worked then it all went downhill

This isn’t making any sense.
I was seeing only left hand side.
Note after a few reboots is working fine but only for 25 seconds at a time.
E.g. captures for 25 seconds
Then times out connecting to device for 25 seconds

use remote.conf,
the remote works fine now

Hi

Just installed latest nightly on brand new N2 and irw can’t scan any codes while ir-keytable stops with
/sys/class/rc/: No such file or directory
No devices found

I have a95x remote and I though it would be enough to put config file in ./config.
Any documentation regarding this topic?

After reboot I got device recognized:

Found /sys/class/rc/rc0/ (/dev/input/event2) with:
Driver: meson-ir, table: rc-empty
lirc device: /dev/lirc0
Supported protocols: unknown other lirc rc-5 rc-5-sz jvc sony nec sanyo mce_kbd rc-6 sharp xmp cec

But
