thanks @krazzer , if you wish to you can either open a new thread or join with my one and post your logs there ( You will need to create a dmesg | paste right after such issue happen (in putty). Without unplug or do anything else)

Maybe then CE team can compare my logs to yours and figure out the bits in-between.

And yes thought I was alone till I came on here, I think there must be at least 10+ mentioning off this no signal issue.

Its good if you got a good box, but its so hard to replicate the issue id imagine most AM6/b+ box owners running CE would not notice the fault.

I went 1 day testing 60+ different video files without a single issue, each played correctly, thinking I had fixed the issue.

Next day got to 4th video file and no signal issue popped up.

The only way to trigger the fault is apart from pure randomness is maybe to spam playing back video files like 30-90 times, which could take 15-45 minutes, guess what I have been doing for the past week

Hi, new CoreElec and Ugoos user here. I’ve (tried to) set up my ugoos AM6B+ according to the guide on here (along with setting up dual boot and the cmp build) - but think I may have messed up somewhere along the line as I’m getting a green tinge when playing Dolby Vision content. I would like to completely remove coreelec and start again.

When trying to remove the coreElec dual boot I am running into the following:

CoreELEC:~ # ceemmc -x

Starting CoreELEC eMMC installation tool...

System is not supported: g12b_s922x_ugoos_am6b!

There is NO official support by Team CoreELEC
if you continue to run this tool!

eMMC size: 0x000747c00000 [32GB]

Existing CoreELEC installation found on eMMC

[1] Make a copy of current CoreELEC installation on eMMC to current used SD or USB device

Please choose one option? [1]:

I was expecting to be able to select option 7 to remove the dual boot from emmc but it’s not showing the option. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

This seems like it should have been simple… so far I’m failing.
Can anyone suggest how to get a remote desktop (not the web interface… I’m aware of that) but a true remote desktop (like googles remote desktop) that I can load onto the Ugoos box so I can remotely work on the box?

composite doesn’t recognize external subs anymore. does somebody have the same problem?

VNC is available as an add-on if that helps.

Yup, that’ll work! Thx.
Found it… under amlogicVNC… and I was looking for such under “v”… yaknow,… VNC.
Thanks for the nudge.

I think I had that issue with no option 7 to remove it from emmc, so I stuck a flash drive with a fresh copy of CE on it into the AM6 box and did the pin/recovery method again and then after running putty the option 7 came up.

Give it a try, not sure it works since only been using the box for a week so am relatively new to it.

Thanks for the response. I got fed up with it and flashed my android box back to factory default using the ugoos tool earlier today and started again. All working as expected now

I am looking to migrate my sd card to emmc. However when running the tool it said Device not Supported. Is it still safe to do so and can I unbrick if it messed up?

Yes it is.

Yup as said above its fine to proceed that device not supported threw me off also, would be nice if the brilliant guides could mention this just to avoid confusement for newbies starting off.

I also prefer to use the micro sd card, get a fast card I got a samsung pro u3 with 180MB/s read and can’t notice the difference betweeen emmc with hs400 tweak either. At least this way I can easily upgrade/downgrade or change or back up within seconds and don’t need to worry about messing up!

Hi
I noticed that the USB port does not work after waking up from sleep or suspend. Is there a problem with this?

I just got my AM6B+ and set it up with the latest CE cpm, but I noticed that when watching some content like 4K DV Bluray remux I got stuttering sometimes and an error notification popped up in the Kodi UI top right corner saying something like “Read speed too low for continuous play”. I also noticed that when playing other videos, also 4K DV but not remux size then playback was without issues.

I’m using Jellycon to play the content from my Jellyfin server, and the AM6B+ is connected to the network with an ethernet cable, so I’m wondering, is this likely a problem with the player or is something else like the plugin too slow to transfer the video stream?

change the cache settings to adaptive and 64MB, you find it in settings, services.
