I’m going to to to reload the Ugoos OS to fix the dual booting not working. Which files should I download? The full OTA or IMG File?
I just received my am6B+ and im to lazy to setup everything again.
So if i can backup my dune homatics with coreelec
And restore this on my am6B it save me a lot of time
Thank you for original post/question.!!
I make backups all the time(usually after every nightly update).I have only applied to Box was saved on.CPU,DTB is not a factor, as long as you are using same Branch of CoreELEC.
Here i go assuming again, a Backup from NE/NO,would not work/compatible with NG?
Again thx, always good to learn New Things!!
i dont know but u can try.
I still need help fixing dual boot - does anyone know if I should reload the full OTA or IMG File? I’d also be willing to pay someone if they can figure out how to get corelec installed on the internal memory.

Hello guys, i bought ugoos am6b+ some days ago and im really excited about this device and CE software. Thanks for anyone that made it happen.
One question if anyone can answer.
There is a recommendation to “Accelerate VC-1 - Exclude 24p”, is this recommendation still in effect or is it fixed?
Because I was watching a documentary (Planet earth) and it has a remux vc-1 1080i (interlaced) video and when I have this exlude 24p it happens at software and the playback is very choppy but when I do this on hardware accerelation it runs fine.
What should I do? What’s exactly the bug?
Thanks in advance.
I installed CoreELEC per this guide, and it’s up and running. I included the remote.conf file in the flash drive root.
This is probably a silly question, but how do I do the initial setup without pairing the remote?
It seems like to pair the remote, I need to “Go to Settings → CoreELEC Configuration → Bluetooth”
How do I go to Settings without a working remote?
Plug in a USB Keyboard.
No need to. If you placed proper remote.conf it will work with ir. I mean proper one!
I used the one linked in the guide
Edit - just noticed Windows isn’t showing file extensions on my USB drive, so it’s been named remote.conf.txt. That’ll be it.
Aha, thanks!
I’ve heard there’s DV tone-mapping options in CE-NO installations (to tone map HDR10 to Dolby Vision, for instance).
Is that something coming to CE-NG on AM6B+? For many it would make unofficial builds redundant.
CE-NG is EOL
There is no activ development
Why create something that’s not there in the first place? I understand converting say HDR10+ to DV if there’s a display support issue, but converting base HDR to dynamic is just faking it.
