[S922X] Ugoos AM6(+), Help & Support

My Tcl tv support all HDR format, include the hdr10plus , but the hdr10plus to dv 8.1 dinamic conversion give me better picture as the original.

Sadly you need one unofficial build to do that, which cannot discuss here.

Bravia 9 doesn’t support hdr10plus?

I know that this is maybe not the right thread but still
I have an issue with rj45 port of ugoos am6b plus similar to this thread Ugoos AM6B+ ethernet issues
Thinking about switching it for x4 extra, is there any problems with x4 extra under coreelec?
Or maybe someone know how to fix lan problem of am6b plus? Maybe some dtb file idk. That would be great.

My fix for my Ugoos with the bad ethernet port is to use a USB ethernet adaptor. Two boxes, identical set-ups, but one just never works reliably via the LAN port.

If you use Coreelec CE then the HDR10 and DV is thrown out to the trash.

Your display is not capable to display HDR so it won’t do it.

What’s native DV support?

Have you ever heard about placebo?

New TV that supports HDR10+ & DV is 1000+ € ; Use of VS10 conversion is 0 (zero) €. Go figure

But with the USB adapter I can’t use use wake on lan, right?

I have one more problem with this box. I can’t turn it on with the remote. Remote.conf file is uploaded and everything else is working correctly yet there in no reaction from the device when I press power button on the remore.

:innocent: My Hisense support all formats, up to 4k60Hz DV TV and Player-LED.
It was way below 1K…

I can send you a quote of hours need to implement such items. You will shortly decline and just buy a new TV… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
When it’s all that easy, make a solution and PR so we can include it.

Like as example: the implementation of S905X5M is still ongoing. Since a week and far away from beeing finished.

Ok so I am really new to Am6b (just got it today).
CE flash done, dolby atmos set up done.
But…I run Emby server on my PC, and installed the Embykon addon on CE however I am not able to find any way to access my Emby server. What happened and what can I do? Thanks.

I don’t know, but these types of device typically only draw a few watts, so not sure what benefit there is in putting them in suspend mode or similar?

But the implementation of VS10 conversion already exists for AM6B free of charge…
Just to mention that one of the best tv today (several thousands of €), praised for best movie experience in the world, does not support HDR10+.

That is consumer market. Everyone get forced (by place big cashbag) to implement features in their hardware. It’s same here.
You can request but you can not expect.

It’s same philosophy why some buy Apple, not Samsung.

you need to install that here. works perfect but be careful with the correct version related to your emby server

i have a lg g5

i am merely talking about using vs10 to play dv bdmv in sdr on my plasma tv

Thank you all sorted.

I installed ce on my flashdrive. is there anyway for default booting vhanged to android instead of ce?

Hello, I’ve just ordered a Ugoos AM6B+ from Amazon. And I wanted to clarify a few things. I have an Oppo which can play full UHD backups made from makemkv keeping the FEL on the files via SMB.

I have a few on which are ISO’s, which it seems Kodi can’t play in DV. However do full UHD backups play properly with coreelec and this box? I’m essentially trying to have a Kodi interface and have full playback capability in the same device for as much of my media as possible.

I have Logitech Harmony and I have checked compatibility for this box on their site and it seems to have full compatibility, does coreelec keep this compatibility intact?

Does Kodi have any plans to enable iso dv playback enabled?

Thanks.

You would have to ask the kodi devs on that front.

But yeah…use makemkv for those isos if dv doesn’t work on it

Kodi can already play ISOs with DV if you use the CE21-NG build with the proper dovi.ko file. The CE Team and especially @Portisch have put a lot of work into getting dual-track-dual-layer DV video to play (which is the format used by DV ISOs).

If you want menus with your ISOs, you will also need to install the JRE addon. However this does not always work 100% so you are better off playing them with the simple menu or movie-only options.

Also, @Sholander has demonstrated that the Android version of Kodi can play DV FEL as well when you install it on the Ugoos’ native Android 9 OS. That info is somewhere on the Kodi forums, but I can’t remember where and I also believe you need to run the Maven build of Kodi? If I’m wrong about this, I’m sure Sholander will correct me

You are right, here is the link where I explained how I got it to work with “Maven’s Kodi for Android” which had some @quietvoid code incorporated, before CE-NG made FEL reproduction also possible.
