I never turn off Ugoos; I only turn off the television and soundbar.
Since we are using a TV card, USB ports should not be disabled. Because installing the TV card drivers causes delays.
Seems there is Micro-stutter with new nightly updates on Ugoos AM9 pro (starting form CoreELEC-Amlogic-no.aarch64-22.0-Piers_nightly_20260925), specially when watch 4K UHD remux files with lossless audio codecs. does anyone get the same issue here?
Everything stutters on the AM9 pro, nothing has been fixed
Nothing stutter on AM9 Pro, everything has been fixed
With the upcoming nightly build 20260929 ?
Maybe, maybe not
the Micro-stutter still exist on nightly build 20260929
For me, (only UHD 4k) the problem only occurs when the GUI is active, and there is severe stuttering as soon as the subtitles appear.
Same here, I try Stock CE all few days with newest nightly, but it won’t run smoothly.
Same here I run always newest nightly on AM9pro daily and it all run smoothly.
Don’t have an idea when people will check how to really report a “issue” maybe exist or not…
Next post about it will just be flagged.
Upload short 1-2 minutes sample to repeat issue.
I don’t have any stutters with GUI or with subtitles or without them on latest nightly.
@ManSky24 , @CityCobra And do you make your tests on default skin?
Also check that you don’t have any active enhancement settings on your TV.
Don’t think so, nobody ever includes any log file because we would see it’s all only a user fault…
@Portisch @boot2k3
Since Nightly from 20260929 - CE22 NO
However, when I stop or rewind, the HDMI signal to the receiver and TV cuts out and the screen goes black – I’ve no idea why. (Only UHD 4K / default skin)
enhancement settings on my tv (off)
Sorry for posting something incorrect here earlier
Log: https://paste.coreelec.org/2/Uzvo
Update 1: Further testing has shown that there is slight stuttering whilst the GUI is loading, and that the subtitles freeze when they are hidden; this is immediately followed by a moment of stuttering, but the video then continues to play smoothly.
Give us a sample to repeat this issue. Not full video please.
@boot2k3 @Portisch
Since Nightly from 20260929 - CE22 NO
Update 2:
The forced subtitles start at 11:51; when the user interface is active, the picture stutters after 2 seconds. During playback, slight micro-stutters rarely occur.
File: HiDrive
The errors described in Update 2 & 1 only occur (marked in red in the image) when this option is disabled , When this option is enabled, everything runs smoothly; there are no errors in the GUI or in the subtitles
Hi guys,
Since updating to firmware 2.2.0 and the new DTB, I’ve started noticing a faint but noticeable and annoying noise coming from my AM9 Pro when it is suspended or shut down under CoreELEC. This doesn’t happen in Android, and it also didn’t happen in CoreELEC with firmware 2.1.0.
Could you @vpeter or someone else please have a look at this? I wonder if it could be related to the USB ports not shutting down properly.
PS: I’ve also started experiencing stuttering since about a week ago. I managed to fix it by disabling “Disable GUI scaling” under Settings > System > Display.
I believe about a week or so is when the new HDR GUI work was implemented, and as a result it uncovered some rough edges that had to be optimized. But there are some nice updates now as a result coming to next nightlies that make video playback and OSD smoother. See if any of your issues are fixed in the next few nightlies.
I’ve read that here a few times already – it’s supposed to be fixed in the next few nightly builds.
But nothing has happened.
That’s because we haven’t removed the “sabotage ManSky24’s box” commit yet. Coming in next nightlies.
Because you gave us your sample only yesterday.
There were other related fixes in previous nightly too, but not your case.
Your sample tested. I don’t have stutters on AM9 with tomorrow nightly.
