Ugoos SK1 - New

Try inserting USB drive when system is UP in Android and in reboot to CoreELEC app choose first boot option; worked ok on my SK1. I used nightly CE-NO img.

This is the way I have tried several times without any luck. Thanks anyway.
Fortunately enough, CE NE covers everything I need so not going to worry about this. I was only curious and wanted to see what CE NO look / feels like

The No version of CoreELEC works seamlessly with Ugoos SK1.
I also run it with SD card using USB multiplexer.

CoreELEC sta lavorando su Dolbyvision SK1 con la versione NO.

Hi, I just received my SK1 and configured Coreelec on it (on eMMC) and it works great - I’m extremely happy. Anyone figured out how to change or disable the LED light on the device?

I’m just checking how to make it work. But you wrote ā€œdisableā€? Is LED visible when CE runs?

Can someone write what works and what should work?

I’ve put a black tape on it as Peter advised in some post a while ago :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yes - and it’s quite bright :sunglasses:

Which means the LEDs are all on by default.

You can try to set it off with SSH commands

echo 0 >/sys/class/leds/strip-red/brightness
echo 0 >/sys/class/leds/strip-green/brightness
echo 0 >/sys/class/leds/strip-blue/brightness

Instead of value 0 you can use any value between 0 and 127 and set custom RGB color.

Thanks @vpeter - that worked like a charm!

To make changes permanent put commands in /storage/.config/autostart.sh.

I copied the correct 430kb dovi.ko on the root of the flash drive but once installed my dv profile 7 files playback as HDR?

I never booted in the android OS of the SK1. Is that needed for Dolby Vision to work in CoreELEC? Because I see two dovi.ko files on my AM6B+ like so:

./android/vendor/lib/modules/dovi.ko
./flash/dovi.ko

But they are not both the same and the flash/dovi.ko is the right one, whereas on the SK1 I only see the ./flash/dovi.ko file but not the one in the android vendor directory?

It’s weird I’m almost sure I saw it work before… the only new thing I did lately is try to create a disp_cap to add a refresh rate to the list but the new 1080p25hz refresh rate did not appear in CoreELEC afterwards. That method works on CoreELEC NG on the AM6B+ and Homatics devices. I don’t know if doing that disp_cap thing messed up my DV or maybe it never worked and I’m imagining things? I deleted the disp_cap file and rebooted but still no DV. Maybe I need to reinstall again…

You may have to Boot to Android, and set HDR to Adaptive

Also in settings set HDR policy/priority to Dolby Vision

And any other setting to Dolby Vision
