remote2.conf
MUST be in same folder as remote.conf
. If not it will not be used.
@Portisch and @rho-bot
Thanks for the links to the wiki.
Unfortunately, Iām just a newbie and really donāt understand the wiki.
Please bear with me.
I didnāt think it was that complicated.
Unfortunately, I canāt find any step-by-step instructions here or in the wiki on how to get a remote2.config from my PC to an existing Ugoos CE installation.
Is this only possible via SSH?
Please, I would really appreciate a simple step-by-step guide for a newbie.
Where exactly is this folder in CE?
How do I get an existing remote2.config from the PC to CE?
Then maybe first start learning the basics in the CE Wiki
So you already copy it somewhere and you already know how you did it.
Now just copy in same folder file remote2.conf for UR02 remote.
Where you put remote.conf file.
@rho-bot
Thanks, I understand that now.
@vpeter
The UR01 remote.config was copied somewhere by CE during the USB installation.
I cannot find this file in a CE folder.
Where is the default installation path for the remote control?
followed these steps:
7. Copy remote.conf
to the root of your COREELEC flash drive.
as per @vpeter said:
then restart your device. FYI, I have UR02 I did the same above and now work in my am6b+.

UR02 Firmware Update Instruction
@Line-Heart
Thank you for this explanation.
This is a misunderstanding.
The location of remote.config during a new installation for CE is known to me.
However, I have already installed CE with the remote.config for the UR01 on the player in the internal memory a month ago.
I would now like to add the remote.config for the UR02 to the player.
@VPeter writes, in the same folder, but where is this folder where the UR01 remote.config is stored?
I canāt find this folder and the remote.config of UR01.
Sorry, I donāt understand this and canāt figure out where this folder is in a CE installation on the player.
There are only 2 options:
/flash
/storage/.config
I assume you put remote.conf file on your USB/SD from computer then your folder is /flash. To save any file there you need SSH access to enable folder writable. Then you can use winscp to copy remote2.conf there.
But for all this little linux knowledge is required.
Correct
I can start SSH access.
How do I do that?
Is there perhaps a simple step-by-step guide for these steps?
I donāt want to start from scratch and completely reinstall CE with a USB pen drive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is it correct if for a new CE installation the two files, remote.conf and remote2. conf, I copy into the root directory of the USB pen drive/microSD card?
Will both remote controls then work correctly?
In theory it should. But I donāt think I ever test this.
And files are remote.conf, remote2.conf, ā¦
It does not work.
None of the additional buttons on the UR02 work after the CE new installation.
Post journal after reboot:
journalctl -l | paste
And then check if only UR02 remote config file works alone? Copy it to remote.conf and remove remote2.conf.
Its working fine. I copyed both to the flash, as remote.conf, and remote2.conf.
for the original UR-1 ugoos remote, and the UR-2 ugoos remote.
Both remote working.
Anyway the bluetooth paired mode works too.
Hi,
I second that question.
How do I set the flash folder in Coreelec to writeable in SSH mode using putty?
What command to I have to type?
Many Thanks.
use the mount flash rw alias command
CoreELEC:~ # mf
Hi,
That worked.
Thanks a lot.
I did the same.
But I cannot start the AMB6+ with the UR2 remote only with the UR1.
Can you?
Yes, I teached the second off button from original remote. Thats the trick.
