X96 Max+ front lcd display

Does anyone have (I don’t know what) [config, script, driver]?
for the front panel?
Model:
X96 MAX +
4GB + 64GB
Android 9.0
Amlogic S905X3

Thanks, but it doesn’t work

cat /sys/kernel/debug/gpio | paste

So which VFD.CONF have you used that doesn’t work ??
There is a x96-max-1gbit-vfd.conf ???

We can’t just guess what you’re doing.

You need to run that command in Android Terminal

Yes ! there

what’s to guess…
I want the display to start when CoreELEC is started

I downloaded a few files (GitHub - arthur-liberman/vfd-configurations: vfd.config - A collection of configuration files for linux devices with a front facing display.)

by following: (# This file must be renamed to vfd.conf and placed in the /storage/.config/ folder.)

it still does not work

I don’t care about the fully functional display in CoreELEC, I just want to know that it turned off or starts

Hi Salesi, I have a X96 Max + and I use the below vfd.conf and the display works perfect.

x96-max-vfd.conf (1.2 KB)

Great
thanks !!!
now it shows the time and I know it’s off

I can’t guess or read your mind.
Really sorry about that

So can you let us know where you got this working vfd.conf from ?
I don’t see it named as you have named it in the downloads

Is the correct file. You just need to download it as raw, not as HTML.

kostaman, the vfd.conf file came from Jul 19 post from TheCoolest. if you search the forum posts with ‘x96-max-vfd.conf’ the post and thread will come up.

I didn’t realise until recently there is a vfd addon, which you need to install.
With that you can configure the display
