Amlogic-NO discussion

@Secam7 Please try with this DTB:
s4_s905w2_2g.dtb (66.5 KB)

Hi,
I tried to install this release to VIM3L eMMC wit OOWOW as mentioned here, but it’s not working.
This is what I tried:

  • Format eMMC and install latest Generic image - freeze at Khadas logo
  • Install CoreELEC 20 with Wizard to eMMC, reboot to load CE (works fine) → reboot to OOWOW, and write latest Generic image to eMMC - got black image after reboot
  • Write CE image to a microSD, boot from it (works fine) → reboot to OOWOW, and write same image to eMMC - black image again.

Every time after I wrote the image file to eMMC, rebooted the OOWOW, mounted the mmcblk1p1 and copied the correct dtb to the root.

Is there anything what I can try?

Thanks!

Same here on Tanix Tx5 Plus Sm1 S905X3

The word Boot is stuck on front display

Clean install.

Yet on SC2 S905X4 both boxes
Open VFD working fine.

Strange it is S905X3 again with issue

I did a clean install and it didn’t work the same and passthrough audio didn’t work.
And now I’m back to 20.2-Nexus.

VIM3 isn’t supported by image on emmc as it doesn’t include a u-boot. Install Android on emmc and CE on external media like USB or uSD. Then use the tool ceemmc to move CE to emmc.

It’s better, but it still won’t start: amlogic-no.txt (20.7 KB)

The strange thing is that it started once and resized the sd card.

Yes and after resizing it restart itself and then stays on animated CoreELEC logo forever. If you reboot it, stays on black screen with corrupted file system on uSD card.

@Secam7 Please try this new DTB:
s4_s905w2_2g.dtb (66.5 KB)

Please add in config.ini:
coreelec='loglevel=7 nopkmute'

Then it should log everything over UART.

Now it starts, but no wifi: amlogic-no.txt (73.2 KB)

Good, please continue here about WiFi:

Latest nightly from today jan 10
Has fixed reboot /power down issue

ssh reboot
ssh shutdown
ssh shutdown -r

All good

Thank you

X96 AIR P2 (s905x3) and HK1 BOX (s905x3)

You used a USB device?
I have similar issues on BuzzTV HD5 but I have no idea what is wrong yet.

Tried it now, but not works:

Yes, USB device

I have this mount problem with a 64 GB SD card but not with a 32 GB SD card.
If I free the USB ports on the device, there is no mount problem with a 64 GB SD card.
If I want to run it through the USB port it boots without any problems.
I am currently running it with a 32 GB SD card without any problems.
My device: GT KİNG II

Same issue with latest build , sd card in a usb holder. Similar s905x3 4gb

How to make clear install CoreELEC 20.3 Amlogic-no on Odroid-N2 while on download page Releases ¡ CoreELEC/CoreELEC ¡ GitHub it is available CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-20.3-Nexus-Odroid_N2.img.gz to download only.
Its not clear at least to me.
Also I did “in-place” update from 20.2 to 20.3 and there is no issues so why clear install is needed?

Clean install with Amlogic-no
