Are these (Hyperion.NG, Amlogic improvements - #361 by Portisch) changes included in this release? I prefer stable builds over nightly ones.
Add-ons are independent from release or nightly. Just major and minor version must match like 19.5 or 20.0
And all changes in nightly are in release, yes. That’s the purpose of nightly test images.
Odroid N2
I’m still having no luck with media info.
Running the latest 19.5 rc3
Movies don’t show the tags like 4K,h265 etc
In the legacy 9.2.8 this just works
I tried using same database as the default in 9.2.8 but still the same issue. Anyone else have this problem?
It’s not a big problem but liked that feature.
Thanks
I am looking at buying a MT7612UN based usb wifi adapter for my system. Can anyone confirm if this chipset is supported without any issues in CE 19.5?
I am running on a Odroid n2, 19.5 rc3 just updated from rc2 and it looks good.
I have an issue with the docker add-on.
Every couple of minutes I get notifications on the screen from Docker as seen below.
What is the cause of these “kill” messages? It is not always the same container name and it appears nothing is actually killed.
/Andy
Hi,
I have a strange issuse with rhis update on an odroid n2 4gb. I can not install any addons from the coreelec-repository. Other repos seem to be working fine.
I first updated via /storage/.update-folder, then I flashed another vanilla microsd-card, starting from scratch. Both scenarios lead to the same behaviour.
kodi.log shows this error, when I tried to install some addons:

Thanks a lot for any hint to the right direction
There is issue with addons and will be fixed soon.
Is it possible to download and install the system tools 19.5.130 plugin manually from somewhere?
It’s working again, thank you very much

Hi there,
Having a little problem. Beelink GT King is loosing connectivity after suspension. Problem is only present with rc3 release. Reboot helps.
What I mean by connectivity: has IP address from dhcp and no ssh, no internet.
Tried fresh install. and it doesn’t help.
Downgrading to rc2 helps (no problems with rc2).
Any idea?
Cheers
try with fresh clean install with default skin, best on a spare boot media.
your log shows addon errors. and next time also the dmesg is required.
Looks like the problem has been resolved by uninstalling Speedtester add-on.
Loads of thanks
[EDIT]
Well, it helps only temporarily, will be looking for another solution.
Hello,
I am using CoreElec on a Odroid N2.
I updated yesterday from 19.5-rc2 to 19.5-rc3 and couldn’t access my media (everything is on a NAS).
I tested 20-rc1 with the same result.
On 19.5-rc2, network is fine:
CoreELEC (official): 19.5-Matrix_rc2 (Amlogic-ng.arm)
CoreELEC:~ # curl -o /dev/null https://rbx.proof.ovh.net/files/100Mb.dat

On 19.5-rc3, network is extremely slow (~about 560 k/s):

On 20-rc1, the download don’t start, but I can ssh

dmesg output for 19.5-rc2: hastebin
For 19.5-rc3: hastebin
I first suspected a DHCP issue, but it was OK.
Then I suspected a u-boot issue, so I updated petitboot and am now using it to boot the 3 versions.
I have reverted to 19.5-rc2 (and blocked updates) but wonders what could have introduce this regression.
Edit: added history and dmesg
I managed to locate the issue: dts: clean up ethmac node · CoreELEC/linux-amlogic@992cbe6 · GitHub
Network on 19.5-rc3 is functionnal when using 19.5-rc2 DTB.
From /proc/device-tree/ethernet@ff3f0000
, 19.5-rc3 is missing the mc_val
property with value 0x1621.
It seems this value is needed by the driver to correctly use an external gigabit phy.
The removal of this property seems to be the issue I’m facing.
As auto_cali_idx
is 1 mc_val
is set here:
So maybe another item?
Right, it’s even in the dmesg
I’ll continue the diff when I get to spend some time on this.
You can try to set auto_cali_idx
to 0.
If nothing changes set it to -1 and set mc_val
to 0x1621.
