You have any other issues as the log is just flooded with cp15 msg. Try clean install, CE nightly, not cpm build.
Fresh 21.1.1 build same results.

To make it easier to parse the logs, here is what I did below:
Turned on debug logging.
Player Led DV enabled.
Played Gladiator menu. Language menu appears. Select language. Screen goes blank. Takes about 30s before I hear menu background music but the screen stays blank and main menu does NOT appear.*
Player Led DV disabled.
Played Gladiator menu. Language menu appears in green (obviously). Select language. Screen goes blank. Takes about 30s before I hear menu background music but the screen stays blank and main menu does NOT appear.*
DV disabled
Played Gladiator menu. Language menu appears. Select language. Screen goes blank. 5s later main menu DOES appear. I select edition then play.
Turned off debug logging.
Important note: even though the screen is blank and the main menu does not appear in Dolby Vision, it is not a blu-ray menu issue because the menu is there, I just canât see it.
As I did post already we have no idea about menu handing and itâs known not working properly: Help, support CPM build - #97 by Portisch
Try on Windows or Linux with Kodi Omega? And when there is the same error with same conditions report to Kodi?
And how we should solve it when you donât provide a sample to reproduce it?
But not a 60gb file, just a short sample!
Did you not read the important note in the last post? Blu-ray menu handling works fine The issue is that for Gladiator, when Dolby Vision is enabled, the screen stays blank even the main menu appears. I know this because I can still blindly select the same options and play the movie by using the same key presses on the remote.
How am I going to provide a sample of the 4k blu-ray menu intro? Especially as there is nothing wrong with the menu anyway. The issue is Dolby Vision.
Try to be a bit more courteous.
You can strip out all the main video files and post the iso with just the menu files.
I get that he is very busy and this on a voluntary basis. But he did not read my original post and clearly did not read this one either. If he did, he wouldnât have just pushed my original post onto the CPM thread or rejected this one based on a false premise.
Also if I do as you say, itâs likely to not play correctly which will then defeat the purpose.
As long as the video files needed for the menu are present, it will play fine. Look at the m2ts folder and delete all the big ones. Then make a iso that is under 10gb.
You are asking someone to spend days on your issue for free. Please act with the proper respect. Heâs taking your issue seriously, but nobody is a magician. Portisch needs the right material. The amount of time you spend pales in comparison with their time.
We need to separate cpm and CE official builds as we have no control about the community project. This means no official support by CE. The log now shows itâs a official build so itâs ok to go in here.
Thank you. I will try to run this on Windows Kodi Omega and see what happens. @Astrotrain has suggested the kind of sample I can provide and I will endeavour to get that to you ASAP.
OK that makes sense. Thanks again.
Thing is, Windows or Linux donât support Dolby Vison.
Your only other option would be to try on Android using an Omega build from Maven and installing the JRE addon:
You still wonât be able to use FEL though, so must convert to DV Profile 8.1.
Iâll try to get my hands on that movie and test it also.
EDIT
Correction: Even the Maven build that supports blu-ray menus and DV will not play a FEL movie in BDMV format with Dolby Vision output, because the Android versions of Kodi are not capable of reading the FEL layer from dual-track/dual-layer M2TS files. Only single-track/dual-layer files (such as MKV remuxes) will output DV.
Ahh good point. If you can get the movie then that would be great.
@R3S3T_9999 Can you update your spreadsheet to remove âFF/RW/Chapter cause OOS audio with BDMV/ISO playbackâ because this has been fixed.
I managed to get the movie and reproduce the issue: black screen after selecting the language in DV mode, menu shows ok in HDR mode.
The movie had a bit of complicated structure because it contains the original plus an extended version. Luckily, MakeMKV was able to show me which .m2ts files belonged to both versions of the movie and could be left out.
Result is a 1.55 GB ISO file that you can use to test (link will expire after 7 days):
@Portisch Hopefully this is enough for you to reproduce the issue.
Obviously the movie will not play, but the menu should work (if you choose Play in the main menu, you will be asked which version to play). Be prepared to have a way to press the Stop button in Kodi without using the OSD, otherwise you will not be able to stop playback and return to Kodi
The menu is still there and working. I was able to select play, then extended version, then play movie to play the extended version of the movie. But for whatever reason, you canât see it when playing in Dolby Vision mode.
There is no selection menu, black screen, and it is because ce always selects the wrong 1080P video track by default
Well spotted.
@Portisch Any ideas why the second video track (which I assume is the FEL layer?) is being selected when playing the menu in DV mode?
Becasue of libbluray
again. Itâs just not compatible with Dolby Vision dual streams.
I added a skip of EL packages when menu handling as it must start with BL package because otherwise Kodi get completely confused as itâs also not designed to use dual video streams.
Please try again with new nightly 20241001 tomorrow.
