Nightly builds (NEW)

The issue is this commit: gsupplicant: Set MFP optional and key_mgmt for PSK

Author got informed.

Just tried updating to the latest 21.2 nightly from the official 21.2 release.

However, I’m finding the OSD Menu appears to be cropped into the top left half - almost like it is been rendered in 1920x1080 (which is my UI resolution).

If I revert back to the official 21.2 release, this doesn’t happen:

Should my UI Resolution be set to 3840x2160 these days? I have always left it on 1920 x 1080 as I was under the impression this last few years that was recommended to allow resolution switching to work correctly.

Should my Nokia 8010 Streaming Box be set in Player-Led or TV-Led? tried it in both settings and observed the same result, other than Player-Led displaying in DV-LL BT.2020nc and TV-Led in DV-Std BT.709.

Try to remove guisettings.xml:

systemctl stop kodi
rm /storage/.kodi/userdata/guisettings.xml
systemctl start kodi

Have tried that and just the same, if I set the UI to 3840 x 2160 then it does the same. Except video play back is fine, it’s just the UI.

CE 21 is on end and not active anymore.
Use CE-22, CE-NO and toggle one time disable GUI scalling on/off.

Is CE22 stable enough for daily driver now and does Dolby Vision work etc?

Is the recommendation still to use 1920 x 1080 for UI resolution and to leave UI scaling toggled OFF?

yes and yes and yes.

When read the forum you find your answers…

Apologies, I know it is probably made quite clear on the forum elsewhere, but for example with the Dolby Vision the last official announcement on New Order says Dolby Vision doesn’t work and there hasn’t been any official updates since then to say where the project is etc.

Cheers

Of course DV works on CE-22 NO. Only FEL doesn’t work.

Why is there a forum if no one reads it …

In all respect though, the teams last official update (that I can see easily Amlogic-no, New Order) says DV doesn’t work.

I’ve obviously missed a post since that point as I know it does date back a while though.

Post from Nov 2023

A lot has been done till then.

Yes and that I completely understand, which is why I was asking the question regarding DV because I can’t see anything else which confirms it is now working that is all

You should read forum as I wrote: Amlogic-NO discussion

Can I ask if there is a time line for merging the latest Kodi Piersnightly into CE22? On git-hub they state they have merged some fixes that might work to fix db problems for me on 08/27 Kodi nightly
