[S922X] Bee-link GT King

Word of advise: should anyone have these SPDIF/Optical Out issues in the future (see quoted post), the solution is to update Beelink’s firmware.

Hi Gurus,

Does core elec work on Beelink GT-King Pro ?

Eero

Yes, just download the latest release and use dtb g12b_s922x_beelink_gt_king (It does not have pro in its name, but it’s a multi-dtb that contains the dtb for both non-pro and -pro model)

Actually it contains dtb for s922x SoC revision A and B.

@7Ji thanks.

Eero

For future reference.

Can someone advise me how I could control the led diodes (skull eyes). Ideally using a python script (Kodi addon).

I am having issues with ceemmc on a Beelink GT-King WiFi6 Model.

here is the command line output:

i was able to get it installed by doing a dual boot install first, then changing to single boot

Is HD (DTS-X, HD-MA) audio passthrough working fine over HDMI? I have Denon 3600H I plan to pair that device with, just researching before I go for it.

If you’re aiming for the GT king the answer is yes, if you’re mentioning the GT King II the answer is no.

Oh wow, that is unexpected! And one more curiosity, GT King II is EOL. Company producing dropped this segment and they don’t plan to put out any new hardware related to media playback. I wanted to by King II and asked manufacturer on chat when are they expecting new stock for it and that’s the answer I was given.

Yes, they stopped producing the King II. We don’t know what they’ll do in the future but we hope they put something else out.

Id say not a good time to buy old hardware like the gt king, the S928x soc is now on sale from ugoos

Well, currently I need something to just play the usual stuff (4k no hrd/dv, 5.1 sound with passthrough) since my TV sux for HDR/DV. Then in about 2 years when s905x5 is fully supported with coreelec I’ll decide if I want to go Nvidia Shield Pro route (hopefully there will be fresh then) or I’ll get a top tier of android box that supports all video and audio formats.
