As no dev have such device with this 3030:3030 Wifi SoC I would say yes…

Could support for the RTL8723AS be added as well? Or is this chipset not supported by Linux?

The RTL8723AS should be supported as it’s the same driver like RTL8723BS.
Yeah., that is what I thought, but apparently it’s not working: CE doesn’t show WLAN. I posted the logs earlier in this thread:

Hi Portisch, CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-19.1-Matrix_devel_20210412215312.tar works great after 2 days and newest CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-19.1-Matrix_devel_20210413152421.tar works too (5x restart).
Progress! CE does now show the WLAN configurations options, but it appears not to be scanning for networks: there are no WIFI network in the Connection menu item. Furthermore:

I tried rebooting, disabling and enabling the wlan menu option, but no luck.
Forgot to add: BT is not working either. But for me that’s not a problem.
I think your device reached EOL:
The chip SoC got removed Dec 31, 2014.
There is no driver out there anymore supporting RTL8723AS.

You use an ethernet cable and connect it to your router. You don’t need a TV/screen to boot CE and SSH to it.
